Becoming a certified scuba diver enables you to explore a variety of dive sites and marine environments but there are different levels with certain limitations including depth limits. It’s important that you dive within the limits of your training and experience to promote not just your own safety but also the safety of your buddy and other divers. Never disregard your dive limits to avoid putting yourself and your co-divers at risk of accidents.
If you’re a beginner, you start by completing the PADI Open Water Diver Course. Upon completion of this three-day program, you will be qualified to descend to a depth of 18 meters/60 feet accompanied by a dive buddy. Check our scuba diving Dubai packages for the details.
Young divers have different depth limitations. PADI Junior Open Water Divers aged 10-11 can dive up to 12 meters/40 feet accompanied by a parent/guardian certified diver or a PADI Professional. PADI Junior Open Water Divers aged 12-14 can dive up to 18 meters/60 feet with a certified adult diver or PADI Professional.
If you are ready to enhance your skills, the PADI Advanced Open Water Diving can provide the additional knowledge and advanced set of skills that you need to explore more sites. For example, this course will help you hone your buoyancy and navigation skills. The program includes adventure dives that aim to build your confidence underwater. You can also choose two specialty dives based on your personal interest. Upon completion of this three-day program, you will be certified to dive to depths of 18 to 30 meters/60 to 100 feet with a dive buddy.
Scuba diving is an exciting journey that enables you to grow and develop as a diver through continued education. As you move higher on the ladder, you learn new things, gain new skills, and enhance what you already know.
The ocean is a fascinating world and some marine life prefers deeper waters. If you want to explore the mysteries of the deep, you can enroll in PADI Deep Dive specialty course. You will learn how to use specialized deep diving equipment, do deep dive planning, maintain buoyancy at depth, manage your gas supply efficiently, identify signs of narcosis and how to handle it, and more. When you finish the course, you will be certified to dive up to 40 meters/130 feet.
