How to Earn your Scuba Diving Certification

What you need to know

  • Open water training dives conducted at sites such as Inchcape 1 or Snoopy Deep Reef.
  • Instructor guidance throughout the full training program.
  • Certification processing upon successful completion.
  • Personal dive equipment, unless otherwise stated.
  • Nitrox upgrade (available upon request) and dive insurance.
  • Transportation to the dive center or border fees for Musandam.
  • Additional dives or training beyond the single deep experience.
  • Observe larger marine life and dramatic drop‑offs in the twilight zone beyond 20 m.
  • Practise buoyancy, air checks and safety stops in a deeper environment.
  • Deploy an SMB and perform a three‑minute stop at 5 m (if surfacing away from the boat).
  • Enjoy scenic boat rides along the Fujairah coast or Musandam fjords.

After successful completion of the program requirements, divers earn the PADI Deep Diver Specialty certification. This deep diver certification confirms that you have completed formal deep diving certification training and are prepared to participate in deeper recreational dives up to the maximum training depth allowed within the course.

For divers looking to continue their education, this course fits naturally within the wider path of PADI specialty courses and advanced continuing education.

  • Advanced certification card and logbook.
  • Dive computer, SMB and whistle.
  • Swimwear, towel, reef‑safe sunscreen and hat.

  • Courses run year‑round; scheduling is flexible to suit your availability.
  • Group size: Small groups for safety; usually 2–4 divers per guide.
  • Location: Deep sites in Fujairah or Musandam; chosen based on sea conditions and diver experience.
  • This experience does not issue a certification; it is a fun dive for certified divers who want to go a bit deeper.
  • Depth limit is 40 m; you must adhere to your certification limit and instructor instructions.
  • Not suitable for novice divers or those lacking deep experience.
  • Nitrox is available as an upgrade to extend bottom time. Bring your Nitrox certification if you wish to use it.
  • E-learning is mandatory for any PADI course. If you already have the E-learning included, that is great. If not, it can be added separately as an add-on.
