About the Course

Seal Team is a pool-based scuba adventure for children aged eight and up. Over a series of five AquaMissions, kids learn the basics of scuba diving, clearing a mask, breathing from a regulator, and controlling buoyancy, while playing underwater games. Each mission is supervised by a Nemo instructor, ensuring a safe, fun introduction that builds confidence and teamwork. Upon completing all five AquaMissions, children can progress to Master Seal Team or, from age 10, the Junior Open Water Diver course.

How to Earn your Scuba Diving Certification

Kids build confidence, learn responsibility, and develop real diving skills while enjoying unforgettable pool sessions and making new friends. With no prior experience required, it’s the perfect first step into diving for children as young as eight . What you need to know

The PADI Seal Team program introduces children to the basics of scuba diving through five fun, structured AquaMissions designed to build comfort, confidence, and teamwork in the water.

  • Five Seal Team AquaMissions
  • Skills covering mask clearing, breathing from a regulator, and buoyancy control, taught through underwater games
  • Use of child-sized scuba gear
  • Pool session
  • Guidance from certified PADI instructors
  • Small group learning for better supervision and support
  • Seal Team logbook to track completed missions

The following items are not included in the course fee:

  • Transportation to the training venue
  • Meals beyond snacks
  • Personal swimwear, towel, and sunscreen
  • Additional sessions or fun dives beyond the five included AquaMissions
  • Progression to Master Seal Team or Junior Open Water Diver (available as separate programs)

The PADI Seal Team program is designed to help children feel comfortable and confident in the water while learning the fundamentals of scuba diving through play. During the course, kids will learn:

  • How to clear a mask and breathe comfortably from a regulator
  • Basic buoyancy control through underwater games
  • Simple hand signals and communication with their instructor
  • Comfort and confidence moving around underwater as part of a team

This program is entirely pool-based and helps prepare children for the next step in their diving journey, including Master Seal Team or, from age 10, the Junior Open Water Diver course.

To be recognized as part of the Seal Team program, participants must meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum age of 8 years
  • Comfort in the water and a positive attitude toward learning
  • Parental consent
  • Missions can be completed over several days with no strict time limit

Please note that Seal Team is a recognition program, not a formal scuba certification.

To enjoy the course comfortably, children should bring:

  • Swimwear
  • Towel
  • Reef-safe sunscreen
  • Seal Team logbook
  • Snacks and water for longer sessions
  • Optional personal snorkel or mask
  • A sense of fun, curiosity, and adventure
  • Choose your dates: Pick weekend or after-school sessions.
  • Attend briefing & gear fitting: Kids meet their instructor and learn about their equipment.
  • Complete five AquaMissions: Gain confidence through structured, playful pool sessions.
  • Celebrate & continue: On completion, kids receive their Seal Team recognition and can move on to Master Seal Team or, from age 10, Junior Open Water Diver.
  • The course typically takes 1 day (1 Session). Each session lasts 2–3 hours.
  • Daily start times at 9 AM or 12 PM or 3 PM 
  • Group size limited to four kids per instructor.
  • Conducted in a heated pool or shallow lagoon in Dubai or Fujairah.
  • The maximum depth is 2 m/6 ft and sessions are pool‑based.
  • Seal Team is a fun experience, not a certification; it builds skills and confidence.
  • Parents are encouraged to watch and support; siblings can join together.
  • Upon completion, children can progress to Master Seal Team or Junior Open Water Diver at age 10.
