What you need to know

  • Prerequisites: PADI Advanced Open Water Diver with experience in deep and nitrox diving; recommended Rescue Diver.
  • Comfortable diving to 30 m and handling multiple cylinders.
  • Completion of classroom work, confined‑water drills and two shallow open‑water dives.
  • This course does not award a PADI certification but prepares you for Tec 40 training.
  • This is not a PADI certification; it serves as a preparatory course.
  • Transportation to the pool and dive sites; meals and accommodation.
  • Personal dive kit (mask, fins, wetsuit) and personal dive computer.
  • Dive insurance (recommended) and advanced tec courses like Tec 40.
  • Nitrox tanks (bring your Nitrox certification if you wish to use them).

In this basic tec diving course, you will focus on:

  • core technical diving fundamentals

  • repetition of drills to improve consistency
