FAQs
Your underwater journey starts here Get ready to explore the deep
Dubai diving offers exciting marine life, artificial reefs, and several fascinating shipwrecks. Popular wreck sites include Zainab, MV Dara, MV Ludwig, Victoria Star, Cement Barge, and Anchor Barge, each hosting corals and fish that have colonized the structures over time. Some wrecks suit recreational divers, while deeper sites require Advanced, Deep, or technical-diving certification.
Dive depth depends on your certification level. Open Water divers are limited to 18 meters, Advanced Open Water divers can go to 30 meters, and Discover Scuba Diving sessions stay to a maximum depth of around 12 meters with an instructor at your side throughout.
Yes, you can still book with us. If you don’t have your log book on hand, you can add a replacement Log Book as an optional add-on (AED 50) at checkout. Since your last dive was over 6 months ago, we recommend a ReActivate refresher course first, which covers a knowledge review and skills practice in the water, helping you dive safely and confidently again.
After completing your course, submit your details through our E-Card request form, including your instructor’s name and your eLearning result. Please wait 24 hours before trying to access your e-card via the PADI App. If it doesn’t appear after 24 hours, contact our team and we’ll check the status of your certification processing directly with PADI on your behalf.
No, courses are mixed by default, but we can arrange separate groups upon request, depending on instructor availability at the time. Let us know your preference when booking so we can plan accordingly.
Yes, we have a certified team of female instructors available to ensure your comfort. You can also book a private 1-on-1 session with a female instructor for an additional fee for more focused, personalized training.
Instructor ratios vary by setting: up to 4 students per instructor during pool/confined-water sessions, and up to 3 students per instructor during open-water (sea) sessions. This closer ratio in open water reflects the added complexity of real dive conditions, ensuring each diver gets proper attention and supervision.
Boat capacity depends on which boat is assigned to your trip, with our fleet supporting up to 12 or 18 dives depending on the boat. We’ll confirm the exact capacity for your trip when you book, so you always know what to expect before heading out.
Tanks and weights are included on every trip. Wetsuits, BCD, and regulators are included with all certification courses and Discover Scuba sessions. For certified-diver trips specifically, full gear rental is available for an extra fee if you’d rather not bring your own, check the trip page for the current rental cost.
You’re welcome to bring any personal dive gear you own, no issue at all. For courses and Discover Scuba, any additional gear you need is included. For certified-diver trips, full gear rental (if you don’t bring your own) carries a separate fee, listed on each trip page.
Yes, all our diving courses and Discover Scuba sessions include full equipment. For certified divers on Fujairah and Musandam trips, dive equipment can be rented separately for AED 50 if you don’t have your own gear.
You’ll need to provide your full name, the course or trip you’re enrolling in, and your booking date. For certified divers, we’ll also ask for your certification level and PADI ID number to confirm eligibility.
You can start with the PADI Scuba Diver course: 3 confined water sessions and 2 open water dives, certifying you to dive up to 12 meters under the supervision of a PADI Professional. If you want the full certification, take the PADI Open Water Diver course: 5 confined water sessions and 4 open water dives, certifying you to dive up to 18 meters. If you’d rather try diving first before committing to a course, book a Discover Scuba session in Dubai or Fujairah, you can always continue to a full course afterward.
Non-divers can join select trips to relax on board or try snorkeling alongside the group while certified divers complete their dives. Contact our team to confirm availability and any additional cost for your specific trip.
Yes, transportation options are available as add-ons at checkout, though they vary by trip. Fujairah morning and afternoon trips offer shared (AED 150) and standard (AED 160) options, night dives offer private transport only (AED 750), and Musandam trips offer a separate rate (AED 145). Check your specific trip page at checkout to see what’s available for your selected date.
Our Dubai courses and confined-water sessions are conducted at Azure Residences, The Palm Jumeirah, Dubai, UAE, our main branch with private shore access.

Diving runs year-round in both Dubai and Fujairah, with water temperatures staying comfortable across all seasons. Visibility tends to be best from October to May, though trips operate throughout the year regardless of season.

Yes, it’s possible, the course can be compressed into 2 days with 2 sessions each day, for divers who can keep pace with the accelerated schedule. The standard format runs over 4 days (4 sessions) to allow more practice time, so the faster track depends on your comfort and performance during the earlier sessions.
Bring comfortable clothes, a towel, comfortable footwear, an extra set of clothes, and reef-safe sunscreen. A government ID is also required if your course includes sessions in Fujairah.
Not necessarily. If you have a relevant medical history, we can provide a dive medical statement for your doctor to review, sign, and stamp as proof you’re fit to dive. This is a standard PADI requirement, not a Nemo-specific hurdle.
For certification courses, yes, you’ll need basic swimming skills: floating unassisted for 10 minutes and swimming comfortably. For Discover Scuba, no swim test is required; sessions take place under an instructor’s direct supervision throughout.
