What you need to know

  • Personal 1 to 1 training.
  • All equipment needed.
  • Digital PADI Basic Freediver materials for self‑study.
  • Breathing & relaxation workshop to learn diaphragmatic breathing, CO₂ tolerance and equalisation.
  • Pool session focusing on static apnea (goal 90 s) and dynamic apnea (goal 25 m) with finning technique coaching.
  • Use of freediving equipment (wetsuit, mask, snorkel, long‑blade fins, weight belt).
  • Certification processing for the PADI Basic Freediver qualification.
  • Light refreshments during training.
  • Transportation to the pool.
  • Meals beyond light snacks.
  • Personal freediving gear (optional to bring).
  • Open‑water dives (those are part of the full Freediver course).
  • Dive insurance (not required for pool training).
  • Advanced freediving courses.

  • Training Structure: 1 Lesson of Theory & Dry Practice and 2 Lessons of in-water pool practice
  • Your progress depends on your comfort and ability, some students may need extra sessions, and that’s completely normal.
  • Basic Freediver is a pool‑only course. To experience open‑water freediving, enrol in the full PADI Freediver course.
  • Breath‑hold progress varies by individual; goals are targets, not strict pass/fail points.
  • Safety is emphasised: always train with a buddy and follow your instructor’s guidance.
  • This certification is a stepping stone to deeper freediving and improves comfort in other water sports.
  • Consider combining Basic Freediver with Skin Diver or snorkelling trips for family fun.
