The PADI ReActivate / Scuba Refresher program helps you rebuild confidence by revisiting key diving skills and safety procedures with a professional instructor. At Nemo Diving Center, refresher courses are conducted in our private beach, providing a relaxed environment where you can practice skills comfortably. For divers seeking a comprehensive experience, we also offer the option to continue with an ocean dive in Fujairah. Whether you haven’t dived for six months or several years, this course gets you ready to dive again safely.

The session begins with gear configuration, where participants get familiar with the equipment and complete essential safety checks. This stage helps build comfort and confidence before entering the water. It also ensures everything is properly set up for a safe dive experience

Shallow Water Drill

The shallow water drill is designed to refresh key diving skills in a controlled environment. Participants practice important techniques such as regulator recovery, mask replacement, and buoyancy control. This stage helps improve confidence and readiness before moving into deeper water

The Guided Dive

Once participants feel confident, they move into open water for the guided dive. This stage focuses on applying core skills such as communication, trim control, and gas monitoring in a real dive setting. It gives divers the chance to safely explore the local reef with guidance and Support

What you need to know

  • PADI ReActivate e‑Learning to review theory, dive planning, equipment and safety.
  • Confined‑water session (1–2 hours) in our Dubai pool or Dibba Al‑Fujairah bay to practise essential skills.
  • Full scuba equipment rental.
  • Digital ReActivate certificate upon completion.
  • Optional open‑water reef dive (add‑on) to apply your refreshed skills.
  • Transportation to and from the training location.
  • Optional open‑water dive fee (additional).
  • Personal expenses and meals.
  • Dive insurance (recommended for certified divers).
  • Additional training beyond the refresher.
  • Review dive planning, equipment assembly and buddy checks.
  • Revisit buoyancy fundamentals, weight distribution and safe ascents.
  • Practise mask clearing, regulator recovery and emergency procedures.
  • Controlled ascents and descents, weight checks and buoyancy tuning.
  • Optional reef dive helps regain confidence in open water and enjoy marine life.
  • Must hold a PADI Open Water Diver (or higher) certification or equivalent.
  • Recommended for divers who have not dived in 6–12 months or longer.
  • Comfortable swimming ability and medical fitness to dive.
  • Time commitment: 1–2 hours e‑learning + 1–2 hours pool session; optional reef dive adds a half day.
  • This refresher does not change the original certification date but adds an updated training record.
