This one-session activity features a confined water experience that allows you to put on Tec diving gear and try out basic technical diving.

Discover Tec may be credited toward the Tec Basics and Tec 40 Diver courses, giving you a head start if you decide to pursue further PADI technical diving certifications.

Understand the philosophy behind technical diving concepts and procedures, gaining insight into this specialized form of underwater exploration.
Explore and use technical diving equipment, including two tanks, primary and backup regulators, and a technical diving BCD (wing BCD) ideal for backmount or sidemount diving. You’ll be able to understand the purpose of the specialized equipment and how it differs from recreational gear, and the best part – you’ll get in the water to experience how it all works and learn to make dive gear adjustments.
Learn about basic technical diving skills through the guidance of our highly trained technical scuba diving instructor, including switching primary to secondary regulator and executing gas shutdown procedures.
