About the Course

Discover Tec is an experience program designed for divers who are curious about technical diving and want to try it in a safe, controlled setting. This introductory tec diving course does not result in certification. Instead, it gives you the opportunity to wear a full technical kit, get comfortable with the equipment, and complete a supervised in-water session focused on fundamental tec skills. This beginner technical diving experience is ideal for recreational divers who want to understand the difference between standard scuba gear and tec configurations before moving on to more advanced training. It is also a great technical diving try dive for divers considering Tec Basics or Tec 40 in the future. PADI notes that Discover Tec may credit toward those later courses.
