About the Course

Deep Dive Dubai is the world’s deepest pool at 60 m. Designed like a sunken city, it features apartments, cars, a library, an arcade and underwater rooms. Water is maintained at 30 °C, making it comfortable year‑round. This facility offers experiences for beginners and certified divers: introduction sessions, freediving, scuba training and specialty dives. Nemo Diving Center is an authorized partner and can book packages ranging from simple “Dive into Dubai’s Deepest Pool” to combo courses like Open Water + Deep Dive, Advanced + Deep Dive and Deep Specialty + Deep Dive.

What you need to know

  • Entry to Deep Dive Dubai – access to the world‑record 60 m pool and its submerged city.
  • Professional guide – Nemo’s authorised Deep Dive Dubai instructors supervise every dive.
  • Use of scuba or freediving equipment (tanks, regulators, masks, fins, wetsuits as needed).
  • Safety briefing & orientation – learn how to navigate the facility, equalise and signal underwater.
  • Underwater games & features – access to air bells, chess tables, foosball and themed rooms.
  • Photos/videos – many packages include basic photography; professional shoots are optional.
  • Refreshments – enjoy tea, coffee or snacks at the facility café between sessions.
  • Transportation to and from Deep Dive Dubai.
  • Meals beyond provided refreshments – lunch/dinner is not included.
  • Optional extras such as personalised photography, video editing or rental cameras.
  • Travel or dive insurance – recommended for certified divers and freedivers.

Deep Dive Dubai is more of an experience than a course, but you’ll still gain valuable skills:

  • Orientation & confidence – familiarise yourself with buoyancy, equalisation and communication in a controlled 30 °C pool.
  • Basic skills for beginners – practise breathing underwater, clearing your mask and equalising as you explore the shallow area.
  • Controlled depth practice – certified divers can fine‑tune buoyancy, trim and gas management as they descend into the submerged city.
  • Freediving techniques – for freedivers, practise breath‑hold, finning and equalisation along training lines.
  • Navigation & situational awareness – learn to move through apartments, garages and rooms while maintaining neutral buoyancy.
  • Photography awareness – understand how to position yourself for photos and videos without disturbing your environment.
  • Minimum age: 12 years – intro sessions are open to anyone 12 and above.
  • Comfort in water – participants should be able to swim and be medically fit for diving.
  • For certified dives – bring proof of certification (e.g., Open Water, Advanced Open Water) to access deeper sections or training packages.
  • Freedive participants – Freediver certification is recommended but not required; breath‑hold techniques will be taught.
  • Course packages – if bundled with PADI courses (Open Water, Advanced or Deep Diver), follow the prerequisites for those certifications
  • Swimwear & towel – wear comfortable swimwear and bring a dry towel.
  • Certification card & logbook – only for certified divers or those taking course packages.
  • Reef‑safe sunscreen – apply before you arrive; indoor lighting can still affect skin.
  • Light wetsuit or rash guard – optional; the water is warm (30 °C) so a thin suit is sufficient.
  • Water bottle & snacks – stay hydrated; bring light snacks if you wish.
  • Underwater camera – optional; cameras are allowed within the facility (subject to rules).

A typical Deep Dive Dubai experience runs as follows:

  1. Check‑in & briefing – arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled time, complete paperwork and watch a safety video.
  2. Gear fitting & orientation – meet your instructor, gear up and learn hand signals and equalisation techniques.
  3. Shallow‑water session – start in the shallow area to practise breathing, buoyancy and clearing your mask.
  4. Explore the submerged city – descend with your guide to explore rooms filled with props: apartments, garages, arcades and libraries. Beginners may remain above 12 m; certified divers may go deeper depending on comfort and certification level.
  5. Interactive games & air bells – play chess, foosball or simply relax in the air pockets; freedivers can practise breath‑hold descents.
  6. Surface & debrief – return to the surface, debrief with your instructor, review footage and enjoy refreshments.
  • Daily sessions at 8:30 AM, 13:30 PM – book in advance to secure your slot.
  • Duration – sessions typically last 1–2 hours; freediving or combo packages may run longer.
  • Flexible booking – private or group sessions can be arranged; contact Nemo for availability.
  • Combination packages – if bundled with Open Water, Advanced or Deep Diver courses, scheduling may span multiple days
  • World‑record depth – Deep Dive Dubai reaches 60 m, but depth limits depend on your certification and package.
  • No currents & warm water – the pool is maintained at 30 °C year‑round with zero currents for maximum comfort.
  • Safety first – lifeguards, CCTV and trained supervisors ensure a safe environment; listen to your instructor at all times.
  • Not a natural reef – this is a purpose‑built environment. For natural reefs, join our Fujairah or Musandam day trips.
  • Photography & filming – allowed and encouraged; respect other divers and follow facility policies.
