About the Course

The PADI Master Scuba Diver is not a single course but a recognition rating. Fewer than two percent of divers ever achieve it. To earn this title, you must log at least 50 dives, hold Open Water, Advanced Open Water and Rescue Diver certifications and complete five PADI specialty courses. Nemo Diving Center helps you plan a customized path: choose specialties that suit your interests (deep, wreck, night, buoyancy, navigation and more) and work towards the rating at your own pace.

How to Earn your Scuba Diving Certification

What you need to know

  • Personalised consultation with a Nemo instructor to design your specialty pathway.
  • Instruction and certification fees for five PADI specialties of your choice (Deep, Wreck, Night, Buoyancy, Navigation, Nitrox, etc.).
  • Use of diving equipment during specialty courses.
  • Logbook guidance and assistance in reaching 50 logged dives.
  • Application support for the Master Scuba Diver rating.
  • Recognition certificate and badge once awarded.
  • Travel and accommodation costs for specialty dives (Fujairah, Musandam, etc.).
  • Personal gear (torches, dive computers, cameras) required for certain specialties.

  • Must be certified as PADI Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver and Rescue Diver (or equivalents).
  • Minimum age 12 years (Junior Master Scuba Diver for ages 12–14).
  • Five PADI specialties completed; any combination except Project AWARE counts.
  • 50 logged dives or more; you can start logging dives while completing specialties.
  • There is no time limit; progress at your own pace.
  • The rating itself is free; costs come from specialty courses.
  • Certification cards and logbook.
  • Swimwear, towel and reef‑safe sunscreen.
  • Any personal specialty gear (e.g., torches for night dives, dive computer, camera).
  • Passport or ID for travel to dive sites.

  • The timeline varies based on the specialties chosen and your schedule.
  • Most specialties can be completed in 1–2 days; you can take them back‑to‑back or spread them out.
  • Daily start times at 9 AM, 12 PM or 3 PM.
  • Specialty dives take place in Dubai, Dibba Al‑Fujairah or Musandam.
  • Group sizes and schedules are tailored to each specialty.
