In the past, over 90% of divers were men but not anymore. Through the years, women have taken a more active role in adventure sports and activities. In these modern times, about one-third of divers are women. We would love to see the day when that ratio becomes 50/50.
Happy International Women’s Month! Nemo Diving Center joins the world in celebrating the valuable role of women in our society. In line with this, we encourage women to learn how to dive and become ambassadors of the sea. Get in touch with our dive shop Dubai and we’ll help you get started.
Joy of diving
A fun way to get fit
What better way to get in shape than doing something that you can enjoy as well? Diving is a fun way to burn calories and strengthen your body. It’s an excellent form of physical exercise that can boost your serotonin levels. This hormone helps stabilize your mood, improve your well-being, and spark joy. Diving is a rewarding activity and an enjoyable way to keep fit. That’s a privilege to relish the best of both worlds. Don’t you agree?
Broaden your circle of friends
Diving enables you to make new friends through shared experiences. When you travel to new places to go diving, you get a chance to meet new people. So don’t be surprised if a casual conversation with a fellow diver turns into a lasting friendship.
Getting to know people from other parts of the world with different cultures and values broaden your perspectives. By connecting with people outside of your familiar groups, you can enhance your understanding of the world.
Sense of belonging
There are many communities where people associate themselves but not all of these organizations can give you a sense of excitement and adventure. By learning how to dive, you can build rewarding relationships with people who share your passion for the sea. Meeting like-minded people gives you the opportunity to share underwater experiences and build new ones together. As a diver, you would have the support of your diving community and feel safer and more confident each time you venture into the world below the waves.
