Egypt Trip 3 – Brothers, Daedalus and Elphinstone Expedition

This itinerary focuses on Egypt’s most offshore and exposed reefs, where currents attract large pelagics. The Brothers often host oceanic whitetip sharks and thresher sharks. Daedalus is home to a resident school of hammerheads, as well as pristine soft-coral walls. Elphinstone Reef is famed for its north plateau, where barracuda, turtles, and Napoleon wrasse patrol the drop‑off, and for its south plateau, where white-tip reef sharks cruise. Visibility reaches 40 m; water temperatures vary from 24 °C in spring to 28 °C in early autumn. Negative entries and strong currents mean this trip suits divers with good buoyancy control and previous deep‑water experience. Bring a reef hook for comfortable viewing in strong current zones.
