About Dive Site

Inchcape 10 is the largest and newest of Fujairah’s artificial reefs. Originally built in Singapore in 1982 and later acquired by Inchcape Shipping Services, the vessel—formerly known as Jetwise—was purposefully sunk in June 2003 to create a wreck dive. Resting upright with its bow facing north, the ship now serves as a complex playground for qualified divers and a sanctuary for marine life.

Being the newest and largest of the Inchcape wrecks, Inchcape 10 offers wide passageways and multiple hatches for exploration. The ship’s structure—deck, cabins, engine room and hatches—has attracted a thriving community of fish and invertebrates. Upright orientation makes navigation straightforward, but wreck training and good buoyancy are essential.

The wreck hosts moray eels, stingrays, sea snakes and juvenile barracuda. Large schools of reef fish patrol the decks and hide within the corridors. Nudibranchs and other macro life may be spotted on the hull. Exploring the passageways often reveals unexpected guests like octopus or cuttlefish.

  • Advanced and wreck‑certified divers: Proper training is required to enter and explore the wreck safely.
  • Photographers: The contrast between man‑made structures and thriving marine life makes for compelling images.
  • Macro lovers: Many small creatures inhabit the wreck’s nooks and crannies.
  • Only qualified divers with wreck‑penetration training should enter enclosed spaces.
  • Monitor air and bottom time carefully; the average depth is beyond recreational training limits for beginners.
  • Bring a torch and use a guideline when penetrating the wreck.
  • Maintain neutral buoyancy to avoid stirring silt and reduce visibility.
