Maldives – Fuvahmulah (Shark Island)

  • Day 1 (21 Mar) – Arrive in Malé; fly domestically to Fuvahmulah; check in.
  • Days 2 – 7 (22 – 27 Mar) – Each day includes breakfast followed by three dives focusing on tiger shark encounters and reef exploration. A tiger shark conservation talk is scheduled for 23 March.
  • Day 8 (28 Mar) – Depart via domestic flight back to Malé.

Fuvahmulah is widely known as “Shark Island”, one of the few places in the world where tiger sharks are seen year-round. During this 8-day expedition, divers complete 15 guided dives (3 per day), focusing on pelagic encounters while exploring healthy coral reefs home to turtles, rays, and reef sharks.

This trip includes round-trip domestic flights within the Maldives and daily guided dives led by experienced professionals. A dedicated tiger shark conservation talk adds scientific context and awareness to the experience.

  • Nitrox is unavailable; all dives are conducted on air.
  • No night dives are offered for safety reasons.
  • Domestic flight schedules and layovers may vary; allow ample connection time.
  • This trip is designed for advanced divers and above due to challenging conditions.
