Martini Rock – This popular diving and snorkeling site has a rocky pinnacle that appears like a martini glass on its side. Martini Rock is great for both underwater activities because of its rich marine ecosystem. Scuba divers and snorkelers can observe the vibrant coral formations and a wide variety of fish including parrot fish, snappers, lionfish, fusiliers, broomtail wrasse, burrfish, and more.

Snoopy Island – This island located off the coast of Fujairah is named after the popular character named “Snoopy” from the comic strip “Peanuts”. The crystal-clear waters of Snoopy Island offer great visibility which provides snorkelers and scuba divers a great opportunity to marvel at the rich coral reefs beaming with life, including an impressive array of fish species such as clownfish, butterflyfish, damselfish, angelfish, Moorish idols, parrotfish, and more. 

Dibba Rock – In 2009, Dibba Rock was devastated by a red algal bloom, killing tons of fish but nature always finds its way to overcome natural disasters. Today, Dibba Rock is thriving and has become one of the favorite diving and snorkeling sites in Fujairah. It’s popular for turtle sightings, particularly Green Turtles. If you want to see something interesting, watch out for the jawfish that has a habit of building a burrow by carrying materials such as sand, small rocks, and shells with its mouth. During mating season, the jawfish likes to pop its head out of its hole to show off its colorful, patterned body to attract a mate. The area is also known for a high population of clownfish. Dibba Rock is easy to navigate which makes it ideal for night scuba diving UAE.

Sharm Rock – This dive site is also called “3 Rocks Pinnacles” or “3 Sisters” because of its three distinctive small rock formations jutting out of the sea. The rocks are covered in soft corals and the waters are a haven for different fish species such as lionfish, jawfish, boxfish, jawfish, and bannerfish. You may also encounter snappers, fusiliers, jacks, and large-mouth mackerel when you go scuba diving in Sharm Rock. Scuba divers may also encounter moray eels that love to hunt squid, cuttlefish, and crustaceans. There is also a fourth rock but it is reserved for more experienced divers.

Musandam Dive Sites

The Musandam Peninsula in Oman is a unique place to embark on a snorkeling or diving trip with family and friends because of its breathtaking landscape. Musandam’s jagged fjords highlight the peninsula’s coastline which earned it the nickname, “Norway of Arabia”.
